Ladies’ Camping Trip
What could be better than a ladies’ weekend in nature and Komerican campfire cooking? Think cast-iron bulgogi and veggies, bacon and kimchi fried rice, toasted tteok with cheese, and so many more delicacies. We’ll work up our appetites with plentiful hikes and soothe our nervous systems in the trees and sharing stories around the fire. Time to escape to nature and just be!
Chuseok Ladies’ Lunch + Hike
Let’s celebrate 추석 (Chuseok), the Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival with a delicious ladies’ lunch and gorgeous autumn hike! Enjoy traditional holiday favorites like 잡채 (japchae), 김밥 (kimbap) and 송편 (songpyeon) for good luck — dumpling style rice cakes with delicious sweet fillings. On “Korean Thanksgiving Day,” we will reflect on all we are grateful for and honor our unique ancestral heritages and histories.
Meet us at accessible Picnic Shelter #5 in Sweetwater Creek State Park — 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. There’s plenty of parking, restrooms and hiking train access from here. We’ll eat lunch first and head for a hiking trail at 1:00pm.
